This can result in challenges accessing timely and quality healthcare services for residents, leading to disparities in health outcomes. At the Lake Country Rural Health Initiative, we are committed to bridging the gap in access to healthcare by empowering the next generation. By participating in our 5K & Fun Run, you’re supporting a noble cause that directly contributes to our mission. Your registration fee and any additional donations will go towards funding scholarships, educational opportunities abroad, and vital research initiatives that benefit rural health.

Many individuals living in rural areas face significant barriers to preventive care and essential health services. Through free screening clinics for uninsured patients, scholarship opportunities for future healthcare professionals, and community-based research initiatives, the Rural Health Initiative is working to reduce these healthcare disparities and create healthier communities.

In addition, we will be hosting a canned food drive during check-in. For every canned food item you bring to donate, you will receive one extra entry into our raffle prize drawing. It’s a simple way to support local families in need while increasing your chances of winning one of our exciting raffle prizes!

Don’t forget—costumes for the costume contest and trunk or treat are highly encouraged! Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume and join us for a fun-filled morning of fitness, community, and giving back. Awards will be presented for top finishers as well as our costume contest, so come ready to run and show off your Halloween spirit!
