Ghaith Al Tibi

Ghaith Al Tibi is currently a second year medical student at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He joined the LCMG internship program in the spring of 2021, among the first class of interns. Ghaith believes the invaluable experiences he participated in while at the clinic are currently helping him in his journey through medical school. Ghaith noted that, “taking vitals, communicating with patients, and using medical terminology, among others, are some of the skills that my peers are learning for the first time while I had already developed much of them working at the clinic.”  Ghaith is currently still involved with LCMG on several projects, including research on the Chronic Care Management program and artificial intelligence, as well as running the Intern Alumni Network. He hopes to keep being involved with the clinic till well after medical school, in hopes of working on research and initiatives that enhance rural medicine and ensure the wellbeing of the Lake Oconee community in the future.

Asher Miller was part of the inaugural intern class working at Lake Country Medical Group in the spring of 2021 while he was a student at UGA. He is currently attending medical school at RUSH Medical College in Chicago, with a strong interest in pursuing cardiology in the future. He is passionate about helping improve health access and care locally and across the globe, most recently providing aid to tribal villages in India and with communities in the Dominican Republic.

Marcella Joseph began as a medical scribe at Lake Country Medical Group during Fall 2023. Over time, her role blossomed into Internship Program Director, where she has expanded the program to enriching educational and volunteer initiatives such as MA Skills Clinic, Pig Feet dissections, and shadowing opportunities in Augusta and Atlanta. With a passion for serving underserved communities, Marcella joined our team as the head of public affairs and communications, spearheading the founding of a student-led organization at UGA to aid in our efforts. Currently, Marcella is completing her undergraduate degree in biology and psychology at UGA while actively applying to physician assistant programs.

Cavan Fulp

Cavan Fulp joined Lake Country Medical Group as an intern in Spring 2023. Since that time, Cavan has maintained a vested interest in multiple research projects, co-directed the internship program, and worked extensively with Medicare’s Chronic Care Management program. He recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Biological Science and minor in law, ethics, and philosophy. Growing up in rural south Georgia, Cavan was inspired from an early age with a strong desire to serve in rural communities across the state. As Cavan pursues a career in internal medicine, he continues to work tirelessly to improve the lives of those around him in rural south Georgia, where he plans to work after he graduates.

Caroline Wheeler

Caroline Wheeler started her time with Lake Country Medical Group as an intern in January of 2023. After working with Dr. Chronos for a year as a medical scribe, Caroline earned her CCMA in order to work more intentionally with patients and further her experience in medicine. Caroline is about to start her 4th year at the University of Georgia in the College of Public Health as a Health Promotion major with an emphasis in Health Services, with a minor in Nutritional Science. Coming from a large suburb of Atlanta, Caroline was especially impacted by the stark difference in available healthcare between rural and urban communities. Spending time in these communities has led to a love and passion for the people and the places of rural Georgia. Caroline plans to pursue her interest in medicine and dedication to people through attending PA school after graduating.

Callie Miller

Callie Miller joined Lake Country Medical Group in the summer of 2023 as a student intern, and soon after partnered with the Concierge Medicine team while working closely with Medicare’s Chronic Care Management Program.
